So, if you can create a winning digital product, you can earn a lot of money. The best part? It can be done in a weekend! Keep reading to learn how to create 10 digital products this weekend!
Getting Started Creating Digital Products
First, you want to pick a topic. Your goal should be to a solve problem. So create a digital product to help solve that need. It can be something of personal interest to you, or not. Once you pick your topic and address the problem that you can provide a solution to, get to writing.
You’ll be drafting an outline of your product.
What will it be?
- A checklist
- An ebook
- A digital course
- A printable
- A planner
- A calendar
The list goes on and on.
Figure out what you’ll be selling and draft an outline of that product. Here are some of my favorite tools to help you do that!
- Canva
- Teachable
- Sendowl
Canva
Canva is a software program (no download required) for graphic design and it’s totally free. There is an upgraded version available as well but you can go really far with the free version.
Canva helps you to..
- Create social media graphics for YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.
- Create email headers
- Design ebook covers
- Create banners for advertisements
- And, more!
There are literally thousands of different design templates for all this, plus, resumes, media kits, reports, presentations, invitations, and more. You will LOVE Canva. Take a look at this video tutorial below to get started:
Teachable
Teachable is the online platform for digital courses. If you want to create a course on anything at all, you will want to do it on Teachable.
Develop your curriculum with ease, set pricing based on flat rate, subscription, and more, add coupons, add affiliates, and so much more. I’ve created over a dozen courses on Teachable. It’s pretty incredible. Take a look at my Jenn Leach School and check out some of my courses, to give you some ideas…
Sendowl
Sendowl is perfect for digitally delivering your products to customers and collecting payment. If you have a product you want to sell, you can add it to Sendowl, set your pricing and you’ll get payment links along with payment buttons that you can use to share your product. Place these links and buttons on social media, in emails, on websites, and more, to get your products sold.
I’ve been a Sendowl customer for years.
They have super affordable plans with tons of options for marketing, coupons, affiliates and more.
What’s Next?
Let’s recap:
Step 1.) Pick your niche (solve a problem, identify a niche)
Step 2.) Outline your product (course, ebook, etc.)
Step 3.) Put it all together (create on Teachable, Canva, MS Word, etc.)
Step 4.) Sell it
How to Sell Your Products?
If you have any online presence at all, including social media, you’ve got a leg up on selling your products. Put links online in the places you are..like Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
If you do a bit of business online like running an online store, operating a blog, etc. then reach out to your readers and/or customers and share your product’s release.
To churn out 5-10 products in a weekend, it’s a lot easier than you may think.
It’s called batching.
So set aside some time and create your products in bulk. This is THE WAY TO GO!
I recommend batching for all kinds of business activities like copywriting, email creation, product creation and more. It’s the best way to get a lot of work done in a short amount of time. Even as I write this article, it’s part of my weekend batching of content I’ll produce for this blog!
